Rockford Consulting Group offers a workshop specifically designed to assist companies assess and strengthen its supervisory leadership style and culture as a vehicle to begin inducing collaboration among supervisors. The main thrust is to enable them to understand the collaborative skills that are needed for World Class Manufacturing, by assessing and training them in a collaborative style intervention.
They will experience collaboration among themselves, which will create a greater understanding of what is needed in the workplace. We accomplish this through facilitating the skills assessments and training together in a 5-day collaborative workshop.
This workshop is custom-designed for companies who wish to change their supervisory management style, norms, values, and behaviors. It takes a typical company that is results oriented, or production oriented, where power and authority is highly centralized and delegation is very weak, and transforms the leadership and management style to one that is people oriented, highly motivated, transparent in communications, and free to express ideas openly. It is highly adaptable for large-scale company cultural transformations such as autocratic to collaborative management styles.
The workshop simultaneously combines skills assessments utilizing self-assessment instruments, with training, within the framework of a collaborative group setting. Once the skills assessments are complete workshop continues with supervisory facilitation and training of relevant leadership topics. Courses are custom tailored to address specific company issues, such as a need to change from an intimidating, autocratic management style to one of empowerment. Courses emphasize collaborative dialogue and transparent communications, and are facilitated with this in mind. Courseware is experiential-based and draws out individual contributions in the workshop.
Leadership courses focus on collaboration in the workplace. Courses are experiential in nature, and facilitated with emphasis on open discussions of key issues, collaboration, and transparency. Companies determine the critical issues that need to be addressed for them to be highly competitive in the future.
